Columbia is NOT the state capital of Missouri. You may get some other opinions about that fact from people that went to the University Of Missouri Columbia or as we call it Mizzou as Columbia is definitely their sports capital. I have always found it interesting that Mizzou was the first university to be established that was located to the west of the Mississippi River. This happened way back in the year 1839! If you are coming into town from the east and off of US 70, here is the way to get here:

This great midwest city has about 110K population and is located geographically in the center of the state and about half way between the two largest cities in Missouri – Kansas City and St Louis.

There are SO Many things that are of interest in this great town. Shelter Gardens is a wonderful place to see. It is glorious and has a portion that is a veterans memorial. This is certainly worth visiting. Rock Bridge Memorial Park is also a great place to spend some time. As far as business goes, this is a great place to host a large meeting. There are lots of great hotels to host many people and a great Convention Center that is highly rated to host your meeting or other event.
